I was recently asked: What’s the best way to help someone in need?
One of the problems we have at Hope Center is that we deal with a lot of immediate needs that people have. One of the dilemmas that we have, and almost all churches and faith based organizations have, is how do you best help people who are going through a crisis? The Bible tells all of us that we should help the poor, minister to them and show compassion, but our compassion cannot override our wisdom.

When children are raised in an environment filled with drugs, violence, and gangs, many of those children end up getting into a lot of trouble. Some even go to jail. Despite our instincts as parents, grandparents, and Christians, bailing them out is usually not the solution.
